Last updated: July 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Community Smart Hub website and any services, resources, programmes, events, forms, downloads, and communications made available through it. By using this website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. About Community Smart Hub

Community Smart Hub is a UK-based non-profit Community Interest Company (CIC), currently applying for Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) status. We work to protect communities from AI-enabled harm and create pathways into technology careers through education, digital resilience, and employment programmes.

3. Use of this website

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others, restrict their use of the website, damage the website, or interfere with its normal operation.

You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce viruses or malicious software, scrape content without permission, interfere with security features, or use the website in a way that is unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, abusive, or disruptive.

4. Website information and no professional advice

The information and resources on this website are provided for general educational and informational purposes only. They do not constitute legal, financial, employment, cybersecurity, safeguarding, medical, or other professional advice.

While we aim to keep information accurate and up to date, Community Smart Hub does not guarantee that website content will always be complete, current, error-free, or suitable for every situation. You should seek appropriate professional advice where needed.

5. Programmes, events, and training

Community Smart Hub aims to ensure programme, event, and training information is accurate. However, details including eligibility requirements, dates, times, venues, delivery methods, facilitators, places, and availability may change without notice.

Participation in a programme, event, or training session does not guarantee certification, employment, interviews, funding, progression, or any specific outcome unless this is expressly confirmed in writing.

6. Bookings, referrals, and eligibility

Where you submit a booking, referral, expression of interest, or application through the website, you agree to provide accurate and complete information. Submission of a form does not guarantee a place, service, referral outcome, or acceptance onto a programme.

We may decline, defer, or prioritise access to programmes or services based on capacity, eligibility, funding requirements, safeguarding considerations, partner requirements, or community need.

7. Downloads and resources

Resources made available through this website are provided for educational and informational use. You may download and use them for personal, educational, community, or organisational purposes unless otherwise stated.

You must not sell, commercially redistribute, misrepresent, remove branding from, or modify resources in a way that suggests they were created by another organisation or endorsed by Community Smart Hub without permission.

8. Donations and fundraising

Donations may be processed through third-party platforms such as JustGiving, Stripe, Donorbox, or similar providers. Donations made through third-party platforms may be subject to the terms, fees, privacy policies, and refund processes of those providers.

Community Smart Hub will use donations to support its community, educational, public benefit, and programme objectives. Where a donation is restricted to a specific programme, project, or initiative, we will take reasonable steps to use it for that purpose where possible and lawful.

9. External links and third-party services

This website may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, tools, donation providers, maps, social media pages, videos, or embedded content. These are provided for convenience and information only.

Community Smart Hub is not responsible for the content, availability, accuracy, security, privacy practices, terms, or actions of third-party websites or services.

10. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, all content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, branding, design, downloadable resources, training materials, and educational content, is owned by Community Smart Hub or used with permission from its licensors.

You may not reproduce, publish, distribute, adapt, sell, commercially exploit, or use website content in a way that misrepresents its source without prior written permission, except where permitted by law or clearly allowed on the website.

11. User-submitted information

If you submit information through our website, forms, email, referrals, bookings, applications, or other communications, you are responsible for ensuring that the information is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe the rights of any person or organisation.

You must not submit information that is false, misleading, abusive, defamatory, discriminatory, unlawful, harmful, or contains malicious software.

12. Safeguarding

Community Smart Hub is committed to safeguarding children, young people, vulnerable adults, and people at risk. We may take appropriate action, including sharing information with relevant agencies, where necessary to protect someone from harm or comply with safeguarding duties.

Any safeguarding concerns should be reported in accordance with our Safeguarding Policy or by contacting Community Smart Hub directly.

13. Privacy and cookies

Your use of this website is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which explain how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information and how cookies may be used on the website.

14. Availability and changes to the website

We aim to keep the website available and functioning, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, suspend, withdraw, or change any part of the website, resources, services, or content at any time.

Community Smart Hub provides this website, information, resources, and related content in good faith. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, damage, cost, disruption, or inconvenience arising from use of the website, inability to access it, reliance on its content, or use of third-party links or services.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
