Verify what you see — without expecting one tool to give you the answer
The strongest verification comes from combining source, context, independent evidence and provenance. AI detectors can help, but they should support a judgement — not replace it.
A practical verification stack

Start with the source
Who posted it first? Is the account, publisher or website what it claims to be? Can you reach the same source independently?

Search beyond the post
Look for earlier versions, independent reporting, reverse-image matches and other evidence that confirms or contradicts the claim.

Check provenance when available
Content Credentials and other origin signals can provide evidence about creation and editing history. Missing credentials do not automatically mean content is fake.

Treat detection as supporting evidence
Compression, editing, new generators and ordinary real images can all affect detector performance. A score is not the same as proof.
Learn verification by doing it
The AI Trust Lab will let people practise provenance checks, deepfake detection, source verification and evidence-based decisions.
